Rachel Bauer was born and raised in Eastern Montana spending summers with her brother between Eugene, OR and North Western Montana. After graduating high school, she studied photography at Montana State University in Bozeman. Since then she has lived many lives, from bartending, coffee, and organic farming positions to working as a traditional wooden shipwrights apprentice on the East Coast, landscaping, and even education coordination in the Maine Health systems. She has always had a camera close at hand using it to turn strangers into friends, and moments into memories. Documenting the big events of those closest to her, she gives concise direction while using her eye to capture the emotion of each unique individual who trusts her with their time.
